3 Ways to Step Back and Show Yourself Some Love!

The terms self-love and
self-care have become quite the tagline over the past couple of years. We can
all agree that they have become extremely important to leading full and
complete lives. Many women, however, have trouble on where to begin their
journey. If you feel as if that applies to you, start of by simply looking at
the meaning of self-love. The term literally means regard for one’s own well-being and
happiness, which is a great place to start! Focus on what makes you happy! If you’re feeling stressed and overwhelmed, it might be a sign to take a step back and relax. 

If you are still having trouble, below are 3 great
starting points to help kick-off a happier you!

Splurge on Wardrobe Staples- When you look good, you feel good! A
little retail therapy can go a long way with making you feel fresh and put
together. Sometimes a new top or a pair of heels can set you up to take on a
day at work or a social event with that extra boost of confidence you needed.
If you’re on a budget, buying a new wardrobe is probably the last thing on your
list of to do’s. But just a few new affordable pieces can make a huge
difference in spicing up your outfits each day. 

Buy Into Spring Cleaning- Coming home to piled up dishes and dirty laundry can subconsciously stress you out more than you may realize! Getting into habits of being tidy is an easy way to give back to yourself with organization and a clear mind. Dedicate one day a week to do chores that need to be done but not daily; vacuuming, dusting, laundry. In the meantime, start getting in the habit of washing dishes as soon as you use them. It takes 5 minutes! Lastly, consider organizing your closet according to color/season/level of dress. These little things will help your days go by smoother.

Update Your Skin Care Routine- Give a little TLC to your skin by revamping your nightly/morning skin care routine. In the morning, wash with a gentle exfoliator to deep clean your skin. Use face moisturizer as well as body moisturizer throughout the day if needed to keep skin hydrated and glowing. Invest in moisturizer that includes sun protection to avoid damage and premature aging. At night, always remember to remove makeup and hit the hay with a clean face!

We all deserve a life of self-love, and
carving out time for it is the first step in this journey.
