There’s something exciting happening next month for reggae music and tourism and it’s looking like it will be a blast. For those of you who haven’t heard yet, Wickie Wackie Music Festival which is organized by Raging Fyah and Touch The Road on December 5 & 6 will be awesome from what I can see. Just think about it – two full days of live reggae music from some of Jamaica’s top entertainers, sound systems playing in between the shows, yoga, sunrise drumming, great food, art, fashion and crafts on sale and all of this happens on the beach! (Read to the end to find out how you can win a weekend pass)
It’s part of RJR’s Kingston Music Week roster and fun for the whole family, children under 12 years old get in free. Another thing I like is that they also have #StayLocal facilities for those of you coming a long way and wish to stay in Bull Bay for the entire festival (you would have to book that in advance here). If you prefer camping, you can buy a sleeping spot at the gate cheap – good thinking! The venue is awesome and the lineup is amazing, so I will be there and I recommend you guys buy your tickets too.
If you’re not comfortable buying them online, you can get them at Kingston Dub Club, Touch The Road or Raging Fyah Studio (after Nov 29th) – scroll down for addresses here. Still not convinced? Check out this blog post on #WWMFJA2015.
WIN A TICKET: So I have a weekend pass to give to one lucky winner, all you have to do is follow me on Instagram (@Chelan876) and follow these accounts – Touch The Road (@ttr_jamaica), WWMFJA2015 (@wickiewackiefest) and Raging Fyah (@ragingfyah) – then upload a great video of yourself (between now and November 30) on Instagram endorsing the festival with the hashtag #WWMFJA2015 (make sure you tag all of these accounts too) and I’ll choose a winner. Good luck!
