On My Radar: Movies !!! and NO 3-D

Hey Guys,

I’ve kinda let the whole movie section and reviews go. Mostly in part because I haven’t been THAT excited about anything that I have watched recently (Hunger Games included). All this 3-D foolishness hurt my eyes and my movie heart. Nevertheless,I’m trying to get my movie mojo back and so I went looking for some upcoming movies that can get me excited again. As usual if I missed ONE that you feel needs to be on this list please please leave a comment. I appreciate the interaction and I’m very aware that I tend to lean mostly towards movies that blow shit up (action) or float into space(sci fi). Here we go:

1.Looper:
I originally watched this trailer on mute and thought rass this is the best of both worlds. There is Joseph gordon-Leviit and Bruce Willis in this movie. It’s a sci-fi action thriller that involves time travel and bounty hunting future style. ‘Nuff said :

2.Warriors of The Rainbow:Seediq Bale
This is a true story About the Wushe Incident in Taiwan 1930.(click here for history) I get a Braveheart vibes off this trailer and it’s by John Woo so you know there will be action. I’m definitely hoping to catch this movie. I love an underdog movie where the downtrodden rise up and buss the oppressor’s ass with some big rock stone over a cliff. icon biggrin On My Radar: Movies !!! and NO 3 D

3. Here
Ben Foster is in this movie and I’m all for the child actors getting new gigs. I also like that it’s romantic but not your normal predictable stuff. I’m going to file this under “Do not watch while pre menstrual”

4. Late Bloomers
It’s a comedy…

5. The Samaritan
I’ll be honest real reason this is on here is because Samuel L Jackson is in it. Other than that I feel the trailer gave away the whole movie. It has crime, betrayal, plots, a mark, and twists I can see that. I’ll give it a try

6. The Broken Tower
This one is for my artsy folks! Starring James franco he’s taken a step away from Guiding Light and stoner flicks to make a pretty decent art flick

7. Elles (French Film)
Ok im partial to Juliet Binoche ( I looove her) and I’m very excited to see her latest film. This movie follows a journalist who interviews “female companions”, “escorts” and her mixed feelings as she gets to know them deeper. Yes there are subtitles but I don’t care. Read dammit!

8. Prometheus
With a lot of big names like Charlize Theron, Idris Elba (hey boo), Michael Fassbender and famed Director Ridley Scott attached to this movie many geeks are jumping up and down for this Summer blockbuster. My only hope is that it is NOT a disappointment. “they went looking for our beginning, what they found might be our end” <- Rass 0_O

9. Hysteria (this is a old one 2011)
Although history says Cleopatra had one of the first vibrators which was something containing bees (xtreme orgasm yikes!) This movie covers the proper electrical invention of the vibrator and how it helped with women’s “hysteria” … I’m sure this is hilarious

10. Bel Ami
Ok I’ve been known to give Robert Pattison a hard time. I just don’t feel 1. He’s that cute 2. His acting skills are all that ( I mean Water for Elephants … Tank GAD fi Reese Witherspoon) But this movie seems good and I guess he’s sticking to his heartthrob lane. I can’t help but feel I’ve seen this movie before. I think I might see him act

Bonus-ish … Because we need one duppy/ ghost movie : The Raven
John Cusack acts as Edgar Allan Poe who must help the police after some lunatic has decided to bring his murder stories to life *coughs kiss the girls* cough* cough* … It should be good

I hope you enjoyed the choices! Remember if you can think of one please leave a comment:
