Happy New Year!!!
It’s a new year and we all have great hopes and dreams. Embrace them! That’s what a New Year is for, to embrace the hope of change and awesome things to come. I accomplished a lot of my goals in 2011 and immediately set new ones. I am a firm believer that you can never peak there is always room to grow. Oftentimes, people say “Don’t look back.” I disagree, there is nothing wrong with revision it is something to learn from and grow. My aim this year is growth personally and professionally and especially with Mamachel.com. With over 30k views this year I know New things are in store I can feel it bubbling in my blood. Until then here are the top five posts you guys gave mad love to in 2011:
1. Persistent Provocation – After much punishment and consequences brought about by my actions I eventually learned how to adhere to society’s rules. I have since learned tact and how to smile through meetings with people who sometimes make me question if I speak English. Nevertheless, I think I should let you know that while smiling on the outside, IN MY HEAD is a whole different scenario.
2.Blacks and Self Hate: Really Kartel – Let me say first that I am fully aware that I life in the Caribbean which has given me first hand knowledge of the damage caused by left over sentiments of colonialism. Racism in different shapes and forms is still rampant throughout the Caribbean.
3. I’m Falling out of Love with Jamaican Men – In some aspects it’s unfair to single this down to only Jamaican men , I’m sure each nationality has their own problem and some of what I am going to discuss can be applied universally. But I can only speak from my experience. As usual let me give you some background.
4. Nobody Canna Cross It – It is by far the most hilarious thing I have seen in a very longtime. I was on the floor, in tears. It eventually reached CBS News Blog website and has gathered over five thousand hits. Every time I think I’m the MOST idle person int he world. Someone like DJ Powa proves me wrong. I love it!
5. Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner: The Reason You are Single – So you’re single and I’m guessing that you’ve either concocted a whole range of justifications for it or you are point blank clueless. Let me start by saying some nice things so that what is to follow might seem a little more palatable. The aim of this blog post is not to criticize or judge, or to single out a gender. However, you should bear in mind it is from a man’s perspective.
Faith & Love,
